In all fairness though, he is still a far cry from Jesse Norris (1800 wrapped versus 1899 unwrapped).

If thornton can keep himself healthy and not tear anything, his numbers indicate around a 2000 pound total with wraps around 195-200 pounds

That is a big "if." And things usually don't go perfectly in meets; Jesse wasn't at his best when he did 1899. Don't count your chickens before they hatch, Grant.
