Hey, that's what I do after just about every training session. I thought you were working with 340 on that session though, not 350. With that in mind, you did pretty well. Don't be too hard on yourself.

Deadlifts Warmups 405x5 455x3x2 315x10x2
Random shit, a lot of talking. Bunch of sets
Notes: Deadlift was slow and felt like shit today. The sets of 315 felt good, so I'm guessing its time to do a little volume work with lower intensity considering the intensity has been very hight the last few weeks and I did hit a PR last week. Overall, not concerned with today's performance, just going to keep doing what my body will let me on a given day.

Also did some lat pulls and push downs, but not much of either. Was on a time limit. Riverside casino was waiting for me.

Squats Warmups 315x5 375x3x3
Good mornings
Extensions, curls
Notes: Everything felt decent. Well, as decent at a squat can feel. Still feel like progress is being made.

TNG Bench Warmups 360x4x4 225x10x2 (paused)
DB Fly 8 reps with 60's, 80's, 80's
Band pushdowns 3 sets
Notes: Didn't really feel well, but still managed to do pretty well I think. Next week at 365 will tell me more about where I'm at with progress since it a weight I am much more familiar with as far as my ability goes at this point. Also, trying to work in a pause in all the assistance work I do to better prepare for the state fair. No idea if its going to help any, but I doubt it can hurt.

| Thank you. I am pretty happy with how its going, but this progression isn't going to match up time-wise with the state fair, and I'm really not sure how to handle it. Should I adjust it for the meet, or just keep going with it through the meet? | |

The volume progression? Once you hit a hard 4x4, you could just reset back to 5x5 or even 6x6, and keep running that up until your rest for the meet. I would just go back to where you began 6x6, except with 10 lbs. added on. Don't worry too much about peaking if what you're doing right now is bringing you consistent progress.

| 7/1
Deadlifts Warmups 455x2,3
Deficit deads 315x6,8
T-bar rows 4 sets
Lat pulls 4 sets
Hammer curls 3 sets of 8 with whatever those dumbbells we have now actually weigh.
So, apparently I don't pay attention to my own training log and was going to go heavy again today. I did feel better while pulling, but the result was actually worse than last week. Really need to just focus on improving my pathetic speed off the floor.
Notes: Deadlift just dropped below squat on my list of enjoyable lifts. I am a shitty squat day away from becoming a legitimate specialist.

Thanks Kyle, I will probably just continue this progression and use my second bench day to really prepare for the fair. I'll see how Monday feels with 365 to decide when to reset the progression.
