Deadlifts (conventional) Warmups 315 3x8 365x1 385x1
Safety bar squats 3 sets at 135
Notes: Conventional feels very good. The weight definitely isn't very heavy, but it feels much better than sumo was last week. Yes, I did do a squat variation today, and I am still squatting Thursday. Thats twice in one week. History is being made.

| Is there a wrapped squat that can be used in place of the unwrapped? | |

Squats Warmups 415 3x2 wrapped
Notes: I just didn't feel as stable or strong as last week. I couldn't get my knees wrapped the way I wanted for some reason. There is still work to do on perfecting the wrapping. The third set felt the best of the three. I'm starting to think there may be some residual effects from PRing two weeks in a row. I think Ill back off a bit for 2 or 3 weeks and get some volume in while getting used to wraps. I think an almost acceptable squat number is very realistic for the meet in November.

| Hopefully not long. The squat is the wild card here. | |

TNG Bench Warmups 370 4x5
Band pushdowns
Notes: Did the 5th set with elbow sleeves on. Not sure if I enjoyed wearing them or not. The first 4 sets were a little harder than I was hoping for, but 375 should still be doable.

Deadlift Warmups 335 3x8 385x1 405x1
Notes: 8 reps is damn near cardio, and it sucks. The heavier single feel good after the volume though. Conventional is going well. Feels a shit load better than sumo. The last two weeks have been beltless, but i'm planning on getting back to wearing one next week. Not really sure how to program this shit going into the November meet. I only have 4 weeks of training left, I think, and I want to pull more than I did at the fair. Input is welcome.

| If you only have four weeks left you really need to be hitting the intensity. Now isn't the time to be doing a bunch of volume. I plot out a short progression of triples, doubles, and singles that will have you hitting lifts that will give you a solid idea of where you are at in relation to your max. If you still want to hit reps, I would do this after working up to your top set. Have you heaviest set be your "over warm-up" (TY based cooter for this) and then back down to hit your reps.
I try to make my two weeks out session my most exhausting session. High intensity with a lot of sets. This should really dig into your recovery. Then when you're one week out, go with even higher intensity, but extremely low volume. That's my strategy--you can see if it works for you.

Squat Warmups 415 3x3
Notes: Didn't wrap my knees tonight. I wore some knee sleeves that Brian Willingham let me borrow. I'm finding that as long as my knees get a little support, the rest of my lower body cooperates much better.
