| I liked things more when your bench wasn't feeling good. | |

| Also, you now officially overhead press more than most people bench. Congratulations. | |

Like this guy right here for example.... 265 is only about a month away I'd say though

So does this mean that when my bench passes yours, you will overhead more than you bench?

Mirin' is all. Although after consulting the ExRx strength standards it looks like Dalton's bench is ahead of his press cuz 415 is elite for 319 and 265 is elite for 242 (thought 308 was the weightclass but it says 319)

So does this mean that when my bench passes yours, you will overhead more than you bench? This would anger me, but considering it will NEVER happen, I'll let it go.

I have no idea what that means. I am in neither of those weight classes.

| I'm just looking at the tables here: http://www.exrx.net/Testing/WeightLifting/StrengthStandards.html If you are 319 or less and you bench 415 you are "elite" and if you are 242 or less and you press 265 you are "elite". If you weighed 243lbs your press is not elite but your bench is elite. So, your bench press is ahead of your press according to that table. Doesn't matter what you actually weigh to make this comparison. Probably doing a terrible job at explaining but it makes sense if you look at the table. Your strength is literally off the charts! Good stuff man | |

According to that, I've hit an "elite" lift in all of them. They do make me want to find out what I could clean or snatch though.

| Well, websites like that typically pander to the lowest common denominator. They even say right on the homepage that an "advanced" lifter is one who has merely trained for a few years. That's it. | |

Today I squatted. Give us the deets! It hurts. Hurts even more to talk about. All I know right now is over the month off from doing this demon lift my bench decided to overtake my squat. Work is needed.

| 9/5
TNG Bench Warmups 385x3 405x1 failed second.
9/8 TNG Bench Warmups 350x5x5 missed 6th rep on 5th set
Close grip bench 225x8 245x8,10
Tricep extensions
Notes: Bench is still feeling very good. 405x2 is definitely doable. The first rep was the fastest I've ever moved 405. Fatigue got to me. The 5x5 is still going well, so we'll see how 355 goes next week.

| Just decided to read through my entire log for the first time. Progress is apparently a word that doesn't mean much in my bench training (yes, this is all I truly care about). Work this summer definitely didn't help me any, but I guess I am actually doing better than I was last time at this point in the progression. It is still irritating to see growth be so slow. Maybe I'm making myself feel worse than the data really should, but, either way, maybe this will finally help my focus. | |
