315x1 slingshot bench. A 300 bench should be easy at this point.

Alright, what the hell, I'll post an update in here:

new 2RM in squat is 190. I was testing my 1RM and then just did another rep with it. So no, I don't now what my 1RM is. It ain't no 190.

new PR in bench: 126. The 125 I did eons ago was at another gym with possibly lighter equipment, and it was a pretty serious grind. Yesterday, I benched 115 x 4 with pretty okay pauses. I did the 126 after three volume bench work sets, so I'd like to think that signs point towards my bench being at least a LITTLE higher than 126. We'll see. It damn well will be there soon.

So, I've pretty much been raping all my rep PR's. I'll keep on establishing more, I'm sure, but here are some of my recent AMRAP numbers:

Bench- 200x15 (299 calculated 1RM)
Press- 135x15 (going to break this Wednesday, 200 calculated 1RM)
Squat- 305x15 (going to break this tomorrow, 457 calculated 1RM)
Deadlift- 360x14.9 (527 calculated 1RM)

I don't put a lot of stock into 1RM formulas, especially with higher reps, but they are useful for comparing rep records, and I'm showing a clear increase in strength as I build my base back up. All my squatting is being done without wraps, and I tend to get at least 40lb out of my wraps. I think I'm in for some good numbers. 1RM formula is putting me at a 1283 total right now.

My bench appears to be increasing the quickest out of all, and I may already be able to break 300. I do, however, need to do more paused work. I've been doing paused work on my extra days, and typically pausing the first and last rep of all my sets except my AMRAP, but more is better in this area.

The best part is that on just about all of these, I still had more left in the tank. I'm also going to get more and more opportunities to hit heavier AMRAP sets as the cycle goes on. Soon, I will start the 5's and 3's phases, increasing the intensity and lowering the volume. I should be getting a much clearer evaluation of my maximal strength soon.

My weight is hovering right around 190 right now, but I do need to start cutting carbs a bit more to avoid getting too heavy. I don't want to cut more than 5lb ever again.

I benched 130 today. With a longass pause. After doing all my other work and hitting a rep PR of 125 x 4, paused. Yay!

405lb deadlift. I can't wait to hit 500. Maybe before next fall? That's probably too optimistic, though.

This past Thurs (Dec 5th) I hit a PR on my deadlift. I pulled 525 without a belt. I was up all night studying the night before, and it probably wasn't the best idea for me to push myself like that, but I couldn't help myself - I felt the itch. I've never used a belt when I lift, but I'd like to learn how to incorporate it into my training.

Also, this past Monday the 3rd I hit a PR for reps on my bench of 300 for 4 paused reps. The pauses weren't exceptionally long, but they definitely weren't touch and go and I kept my butt down the entire set.
