I kind of hope Jamie Lewis doesn't make 165 and destroy the world records so that nobody else has a chance for the next 50 years. confessionbear.jpg

imo it won't be easy for him to destroy 1637 and this guy looks like he left some on the platform

I am excite. But I might not recover if Joe Morrow dances to celebrate passing me.

The squat record in that weight class are sort of low though. He's going to open with a WR on the squat, but it's "only" 600; at 123, the unwrapped world record is 639. Good luck breaking that one.

I am actually interested in seeing if he cleans up his squats. It seemed like he had a lot of power, but was a mile high

He will. He knows the standards because he's competed here before.

Jamie Lewis just squatted 606 easily for an opener. I think he made weight; if so, that's a world record.

The single-lift records at 123 are all untouchable, because they were all set by guys with, um, unusual leverages. Squat is 639, bench is 391; deadlift is 634. So, if you're not squatting and deadlifting over five times' bodyweight--of benching over three times' bodyweight--you have no chance.

Lewis squatted 606, WR
Anybody have a link to the results today? I found a spreadsheet for yesterday

I do not. I've been watching a bit of it, but the stream is horribly choppy. A few things of note:
- I think Jamie Lewis squatted 622 for his second attempt, but I couldn't tell because you can't see the lights. He missed 644 for a third.
- Conyers missed 600 on the squat; Perryman hit 584, I think. A bunch of 165s went over 500; I think Nguyen hit 534.
- Manenkoff missed 385 twice on bench. Conyers missed the same amount. Jamie Lewis finished with something like a 344 bench. Morrow hit 298 but I believe was red-lighted for something.
They're on deadlifts now.
