It's normal to get more out of knee wraps on squat than a suit on deads
Mind=imploded
Who told you this?
I would say it depends upon the person. I know of examples of people who get 15-20 lbs. out of one or the other, and examples of people who get 100 lbs. out of one or the other. I would get way more out of wraps than a deadlift suit (my guess is I get 70-80 lbs. now from wraps and I'd probably get 30ish from a good deadlift suit), but then you have Oleksandr Kutcher, the 165-lb. WR holder who pulled 794 at 165 in "IPF gear," and 617 in his only raw meet (a meet in which he failed a drug-test, so he wasn't "off cycle" or anything).
It just depends upon the situation and the style of lifting; very generally speaking, the narrower you squat, the more wraps will help, and the wider you pull, the more a suit will help.

I hate the use of the word "get" when people talk about this stuff. Maybe you're just better at using your belt than other people? Obviously, just throwing a belt on will help instantly, but you also need to learn how to take full advantage of it, and that's part of the art of competing with it. My unwrapped belted/beltless numbers are really close, but that's not because I'm strong beltless--I'm just good at folding over and round-backing squats if I want to grind out ugly reps.
I'll respond a bit a better when I'm on a computer, but if you aren getting 50+ lbs out of knee wraps you either A don't know how to tie them or B need a little practice

Not rustled at all--just giving my input.
And who would ever want to use knee wraps and get nothing out of them? Not only do you get put into classic raw, but you don't even get the total bump that is your reward for selling your natty soul.
I will say that I watched Grant wrap his knees and he can go a lot tighter.
Also, that's an interesting stance from somebody who doesn't use wraps.
The first and only time I wore wraps I tripled my 1rm and lost balance going for a 4th and lost it
I was not aware of this.
And I bet you'd be pretty good in them, just looking at your strength curve on the squat.

If they helped my squat, I'd wrap in a second. But honestly, look at how I squat. Blegh. Man, my squat and I are not on good terms right now.
The more competitive squat numbers in 114 are mostly unwrapped, and I feel this weird need to go where the best in my class are, so....I guess I'm not wrapping for now. If there were more chicks who wrapped at 114, I'd be into it. The raw vs raw classic numbers are really telling.
