Summer Plans:
-possible membership discount at Magni for those staying in the summer
Bar Crawl:
-postpone official crawl until next semester
-could always do something informal over the summer
Fundraiser Ideas:
-registration fee for intramural meet
-Chris suggested maybe doing meet at Magni, check on liability issues and whatnot with Rec Services
-sell more shirts
-find out what local businesses provide for clubs trying to fund raise
-Kyle suggested contacting Bill Carpenter (runs UPA and UIowa Alum) and maybe set up a booth at a UPA meet (selling shirts, donation bucket, etc.)
22nd Street's new local--let's take field trips there!
Receipts:
think of ANYTHING related to powerlifting that you have spent money on this year (plane tickets, registration fees, gas/hotel costs, communal equipment, etc.) and guesstimate/try to collect receipts and tell Sam or Dalton within the next week. They'll take it to rec services and we could get more moolah!!! $$$$$$$$$$
Apparel:
-creative folks should think of some fun shirt ideas for the upcoming semesters
Website:
-Kyle is in talks with Kevin to take over the website and give it a remodel
-it's a great resource that we're not taking enough advantage of
-send him bios over facebook and he'll update the members and officers
-site will be passed over to an active member after the "remodel"
OTHER:
-partnering with Magni and/or 22nd Street for monthly field trips during the semesters
-another seminar, maybe even multiple (could we turn that into a fundraiser?)
-get knowledgeable people to come to our seminars, training sessions, or meetings to be "guest speakers"
-more training sessions, "teach you to lift" sessions, "lifting for ladies" sessions
