What's so hard about doing it on the spot with excel or just plugging everything into one of those online calculators? That would make for a better meet IMO. Just my 2 cents.

We did it this way the first two years and the biggest problem is that rec services absolutely insisted we use a 6-7:30 and a 7:30-9 timeslot, and getting everyone to stay until the announcement on a Thursday night is next to impossible.

| Good to know that Rec Services completely lied about making changes to the intramural meet and hasn't expanded it whatsoever. | |

| There was little, if any, wiggle room to get anything changed. They want to do the scores themselves and just announce winners the next day. | |

Mean things below: - Spoiler:
Each year, after it runs well, they make these hollow promises. We tell them what could be done better, and they act receptive. The next year rolls around and they want to run it the exact same way, or they want to take control over things that they have absolutely no business controlling, like the winner calculations.
Maybe they'll want to switch it up and add the power clean this year. Or go back to the idea of having it be three hours and letting people do whatever lift they want, whenever they want to. Those were brilliant suggestions. I can deal with them being completely inept when it comes to all things powerlifting, but c'mon man, how much hubris is required to think you know better than the people that actually have experience in that sport's competitions when you can't even name the three lifts?

| They probably have a different point of view. I don't think the other intramural events are organized by clubs so they are probably used to administering the whole thing without a partner. It might be worth pointing this out to them without rustling any feathers | |
