Iowa Powerlifting Records

Which records could be broken in April? My guesses:

105 gets new records. Same goes for 148/165 with Ashley. Those are givens.

For guys, 148 and 220 could both be swept clean.

At 165, the squat, deadlift, and total should be broken.

At 181, the squat, bench, and total will all obviously be broken. Squat, bench, and total should all be close between Grant and Ghost Dawg, with Alex as the dark horse. Is Monty's 479 within range? Of the three, I think Alex has the best shot of breaking it.

198 will be interesting. I don't think Zack or Seth could touch Furnace's squat, deadlift, or total, but they both could be within range of the bench. Maybe Seth will be motivated to go for a 292-lb. third attempt just to break this one.

At 242, Kyle breaks the bench, obviously, and I think he could break the deadlift and should have the total. The squat may be safe, unless he decides to challenge himself with a big attempt.

Anyway, it's a great sign, in my opinion, that so much of our record book could be rewritten.

Calling out a 402 squat ladies and gents. My noticeably short femurs are going to make a huge debut during this.

Just wait until July when we have a new 132lb lifter.

I'll try to make the November meet. If I do, I'll probably go 181 and try to beat the current squat, deadlift, and total records, provided my strength gets to where it was.
I probably have no chance at a bench record.
