...at least, in all likelihood. We have another big exercise this weekend in Camp Dodge, and I will likely not be able to get back to Iowa City until after the meeting is over. I will check with my platoon sergeant, but I doubt I will be able to get out early.
I'm going to post everything that needs to be presented, but long story short, just welcome all newcomers and rehash the information that we went over last meeting. I'm going to delegate some of the responsibility here, and I want some of these tasks done regardless of my presence or not--I have a lot on my plate as of recently and I need as much help as I can get.
Basically, I'm going to split up the meeting into a few different sections, with a few different people all presenting different stuff. I think this gets new members familiar with more faces and it also makes sure our core is actively involved with the meeting, which will be an emphasis of mine moving forward.
Very rough breakdown of what I would like to happen:
Coffman-
Have everybody introduce themselves
Present the "what is powerlifting" powerpoint (Keough, please bring this/email to Coffman and myself)
Go over the upcoming meets this semester
Present information about training sessions, and possible seminars
Seth-
Read minutes
Present information about the mentor program
Present information about the intramural meet
Kyle, if you will be back in time for the meeting, I'd like to have you present some of the above information, but right now I have it set up so my two remaining officers can take care of it all.
There will be more information coming out, and I will make sure everybody has everything necessary. Post questions/comments/suggestions here. This is an important meeting and I want it to run smoothly. I will see if I can get out of drill early to be able to make the meeting, but don't count on it.
