UI Powerlifting Squat/Bench/Deadlift Seminar

"Hello to all our members,

I wanted to take a moment to message you all to give you some information on a training seminar we'll be hosting Sunday, March 9th, from 4-6pm in the Olympic weightlifting room on the second floor of the Field House. This training seminar is free and open to all current UI Powerlifting members. If you're not a current member, simply join on OrgSync between now and Sunday to be able to attend.

In this seminar, we will give hands-on instruction for performing the squat, bench press, and deadlift. This is an excellent opportunity for you to get feedback on the three lifts: our knowledgeable instructors include myself, Nathan Poage, and our President, Chris Anderson. This event is open to lifters of all levels, from beginner to advanced.

Prior to the event, you'll be placed in one of three groups, based on your experience level. Each of us will be running one station; you'll be squatting, bench pressing, and deadlifting for 40 minutes at each station, and you'll receive feedback from one of our instructors. Please arrive fifteen minutes early so that we can begin promptly at 4pm. The schedule will go as follows:

3:45-4:00: Arrival/registration.
4:00-4:40: Station #1
4:40-5:20: Station #2
5:20-6:00: Station #3

Please note that this is first-come, first-serve, and we will be capping the event if interest is too high--make sure to register soon!

We hope to see you all there. After the session concludes, we will be available to take further questions. Our team will be having a meeting an hour after the conclusion of the seminar (at 7pm, in the IMU), and I will bring snacks for all of us.
