Notes: Widened up my stance a few inches to try and fix some butt wink that tends to happen at higher weights and it seemed to help. Used a belt again and the difference was pretty pronounced; I actually had something left in the tank to do other stuff.
Notes: Strongest day of the week for some reason. Around January I think I seriously struggled to do even one triple with 380, so this is pretty promising. Ran out of time before the dining halls closed, so I may come back in tomorrow and do some stuff.
Notes: Figured out my DL opener today. 475 went reasonably well for squatting heavy yesterday so it should be even smoother in a couple weeks. It's been awhile since I've snatched so today was just to get back into the groove. It's also been a really long time since I deadlifted so I might do some really light speed pulls to get back into the groove of that too.
Notes: Pretty strange day. I woke up and tested my hammies after pulling yesterday by trying to touch my toes and I thought they were going to shear off my femur. It got better by the time I got to the gym, but they were still tight. Did a little more warming up than usual and the first set of squats was smooth, really smooth considering it was a 4x9 day. The rest of the sets were decent and rest periods were way down but I did get a little winded towards the end and form kind of broke down. It smelled like I was sweating straight ammonia and my urine smelled like what I imagine a dinosaur's would smell like if it ate 100 lbs of asparagus. I didn't want to spend money on keto-stix, but I'm fairly certain I went into ketosis without it having any detrimental effects on my lifting today.
Came in just to do my normal warm ups of walking lunges and such, foam rolling, walked with an incline on the treadmill for about fifteen minutes, and then stretched. Yesterday was the first time in awhile my back has actually been stiff after squatting. I'm already looking leaner than I normally do even though all I've really changed is not eating just a bit of carbs pre and post workout while still eating my fill of meat; ketosis is in full effect and my urine smells awful despite being super hydrated.
Notes: First day getting back into the swing of things. Deads and front squats both felt really fast. Pull ups felt harder than usual. I'm chalking that up to weighing 20 lbs more than I did at weigh ins on Friday.
