Not a PR? I wish I could take away that Wilks point.

9/25

bench press
bx10
105x5
135x5
155x3
185x3
210x3
235x3
260x4 (PR)

wide grip bench
135x10x3

band pull aparts (between bench sets)
5x20

pull ups
3x10

superset
rope cable curlz w/ fat gripz 3x20
DB side raise 3x15

one arm rope pushdown w/fat gripz
3x20

Notes: I am very pleased with how benching went. 260x4 is a PR (I hit it before with my butt off the bench on the 4th rep) and it honestly was not that challenging. I can say pretty confidently I probably had a 5th in me and if I had a spotter I would have gone for it. My bench seems to be shaping up again.

I guess so. It's a nice surprise, all four reps felt really solid. I think part of it is just not being so lazy and being more conscious of my setup and using leg drive.

bx10
65x5
80x5
95x3
105x5
120x5
135x9

incline db press
55sx10x3

band pull aparts (between press sets)
5x20

pullups
3x10

bb curls
bx40, 20, 20, 20 (30-60 seconds rest)

lying bb extension
1x55

db front raise
3x20

Notes: Out of town, didn't have my training stuff so no belt or wrist wraps. Got in and did the work and got out.

9/30

agile 8

squat
bx10
135x5
185x5
225x3
255x3
295x3
330x3
365x3

power cleans
155x3x3

lying leg curl
3x20

ab rollouts
3x8

Notes: Made up the squat session I missed Friday. 330 and 365 felt exceptionally well, left 1-2 in the tank at 365. Thats the heaviest weight I've had on my back in a long time, so I didn't want to push it to hard. Happy with this training session.

agile 9 + lots of foam rolling

deadlift
135x10 (stiff leg)
225x5
275x3

prowler push
+90x35 yardsx4

Notes: Extremely sore today from squatting the other day. I hadn't squatted for 10 days before that and this is the heaviest I had worked up to in a long while. Lower back wasn't feeling it at all so I cut it off, deadlifting will just be skipped this week.

Seth's Training Log - Page 27 Empty
PostSubject: Re: Seth's Training Log   Seth's Training Log - Page 27 Icon_minitimeTue Oct 08, 2013 1:20 pm

yesterdays training

10/7

press
bx10
65x5
80x5
95x3
115x5
130x3
145x9 (PR)

incline db press w/ fat gripz
55sx10x3 (paused)

band pull aparts (between press sets)
6x20

pendlay row
145x10x3

straight bar curl w/ fat gripz
30x50, 30, 20

lying tricep extension w/ fat gripz
30x70, 30

front raise
x15, 20, 10

Notes: Pressing is coming along, big PR for me. I honestly thought I might have miscounted at first because I was only expecting 6 or 7. I think an improvement in technique has a part in this.

10/8

A.M.

agile 8

deadlift
135x10 (stiff leg)
225x5
275x5
315x3
350x5
395x3
445x1
465x4 (PR)

pause squat
185x5x3

hanging leg raise
3x10

bw leg curl
x200

P.M.

prowler push (3 high, 3 low)
+90x20 yardsx6

Notes: Deadlift felt great today. Speed off the floor was awesome. 465x4 is a PR and to be honest I had a 5th in me, but my grip started slipping on my fourth rep and I didn't want to risk failing a rep for something like grip. It was kind of weird because I really never have grip problems. Still very happy with 465x4 and how it felt.

10/9

bench press
bx10
105x5
135x5
155x3
195x5
220x3
245x1
260x4

wide grip bench
135x10x3

band pull aparts (between bench sets)
6x20

pull ups
3x10

superset
cable curls 3x20
side raise 3x20

one arm rope pushdown
3x15

Notes: Not been feeling to hot all day. 260x4 ties a PR from a couple weeks ago. Really the same as two weeks ago, had another in me if I wanted to struggle but no spotter and I really have no need to kill myself. Bench is feeling very good.

10/10

agile 8

squat
bx10
135x5
185x5
225x3
275x5
310x3
345x1
365x4 (PR)

power clean
165x3x3

ab rollouts
3x5

Notes: 365x4 is a PR. Left 1+ reps in the tank. I'm feeling good about my squat and to be honest this is the most comfortable I've felt close to a meet with considerable weight on my back. Power cleans are looking better. Still need to focus on catching in a good rack position.

Over two ribs nets you the Kevin Alvy classification.

And last meet I weighed in at 146.5 and competed at 162. It's not quite Nate Poage at 148, but it's a pretty solid bulk.

I felt so awful at 162. Strong, but awful. Apparently, if you see me at weigh-ins, and then 24 hours later, there's a pretty noticeable difference.

IN for post weigh-in bulk.

SRS, you guys realize I will be doing nothing but eating and watching a powerlifting meet on Saturday, right? The sheer anabolism of that will get me to 205 after weighing in at 180.

If I eat three ribs, do I come in at 250?
