| Four days in office and already abuse my powers? That'd be some sort of record.
I'm gonna get it fair and square one of these days...

I'm gonna get it fair and square one of these days... You would have to beat my first day record.

That's the most backhanded way of saying "I created you fuckers, and I can take all of you OUT", and I love it. Real talk, Good seeing you on here Lorenzo. It'll be awesome seeing your progress.

| Training has been really on and off lately thanks to tests so, actually getting in a legit training session has been pretty rare. Luckily today I got in one more session before focusing on finals. Training Breakdown: Deadlift:405lbs (beltless) 3 sets of 5 reps 455lbs 2 sets of 5 reps 500lbs 1 set of 3 reps Bench Press:225lbs 3 sets of 10 reps Unfortunately I don't plan on training for the next week and half, thanks to finals, so don't expect on any updates on training. Trust me it upsets me more than it upsets you... Â Â | |

I often take the all or nothing approach with my training when school gets busy, but I kind of wish I didn't. Just remember, OP, even a few quick workouts is better than nothing at all. Not only for the sake of keeping things moving and your muscles firing, but also for mental health and balance with dealing with the stress of finals. Good luck man.

| Well guys, I caved. I decided I needed one more training session before I leave Iowa City. Today I just threw some exercises together and attempted a PR on squat. Training Breakdown: Squat: Bar work 55lbs 145 for 5 reps 235 for 5 reps 325 for 3 reps 415 for 1 rep 465 for 1 rep 505 for 1 rep 545 for 1 attempted PR 465 for 3 backdown set I was really close at nailing that 545 PR but I just came forward a little which threw me off and I needed just a slight push back. Should get it in no time with some consistent training. Bench: 135lbs for 5 reps 185lbs for 5 reps 225lbs for 5 reps 245lbs for 3 reps 275lbs for 2 sets of 3 reps 295lbs for 3 reps 295lbs for 3 attempted but lost control on last rep. To finish off my training session I did some power cleans for fun. Don't worry not crossing over to the dark side anytime soon. Will post training footage once I have it edited and uploaded to youtube. | |

| I know it got kind of sidetracked on Facebook, so I'll post it here instead.
Your lifts looked awesome. Your squat and deadlift are incredibly impressive. I don't know what your max is for bench, but you could work up into the 360's, if not higher, in 2014 if you really buckle down with it. On top of all of that, you're only a freshman, you have so much room to grow it's ridiculous. I can't wait to see how you improve in the next year that I'll be here.

| Alright wasn't supposed to train today, but I got bored and did some squats and deadlifts. First time training back home in a while so I've got to get readjusted to the bars and what not. Note: All sets done beltless through out training session. Squat: 365lbs for 3 sets of 3 reps 405lbs for 4 sets of 3 reps I don't know if I'm getting stronger or I'm just getting more confident in working without a belt. Whatever the case may be I'm happy with todays squats. Deadlift: 405lbs for 3 sets of 3 455lbs for 1 set of 3 455lbs for 3 singles Deadlifts also went pretty well. The last two sets of 405lbs I threw some chains on the bar to just play around with seeing as that I've never trained with them on deadlift or much at all period. When I worked up to 455lbs it felt a little harder than I wanted it to be, but I think its just going to take some time. By the way if anyone has any advice as to training with chains feel free to let me know I would love to start incorporating them into my training. | |

| Bench Press: 265lbs for 5 reps 275lbs for 2 sets of 5 reps 295lbs for 5 reps 315lbs for 1.5 reps Note: Got a lot of questions, remarks, and funny looks about bench press setup regarding arch etc. Which begs the question how much arch is too much? Overhead Press: 95lbs for 8 reps 115lbs for 3 sets of 8 reps 135lbs for 2 sets of 6 reps 145lbs for 3 reps Note: Regarding over head pressing how wide of a grip does one take while pressing? Same as bench, at end of knurling, or is it just personal preference? Barbell Rows: 4x10 Face Pulls: 3x10 Lateral Raises:3x15 Rear Delt Raises:3x15 Reverse Curls: 3x10 The race to 350 is on, Chris and Kyle... | |

People who aren't competitive strength athletes are going to wonder this, because they see technique differently (either in terms of what's "safe" or what's "best" for building X Y or Z body-part). If you're a powerlifter, then the technique that allows you to lift the most weight, and also doesn't get you injured, is the best technique.
